here's the receipe for interested pple
Portuguese eggtart
Pastry: Fillings:
100g butter 200g sugar
500g cake flour 500ml fresh milk
1/4tbsp salt 300g whipping cream
1 tbsp sugar 1 egg
240ml cold water 270g egg yolks
200g butter oil 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
(as i was lazy i juz brought 500g ready-made puff pastry)
pastry:
1.Work butter into flour. Add salt, sugar and water then knead into dough. cover and set aside for 30mins.
2. Roll ot dough into rectangle abt 1cm thick, spread butter oil on the top. Fold dough into 3 layers. Roll out, then fold into 4 layers. Then roll out and fold into 4 layers again. Put dough into plastic bag and refrigerate for 30 mins
3. Roll out dough into rectangle, then roll up. Put dough into plastic bag and refrigerate for 30 mins.
4. Divide dough into 40 portion and press into greased egg tart mould.
Fillings:
Mix all ingredients till sugar dissolves. Strain and pour into mould till 90% full. Bake at 250c for 20 mins till filling is cooked and crust golden brown.
